From 26 April 2025 a new exhibition titled “Synthesis of the Arts” will be on display at the SOKÓŁ Art Gallery, in the foyer of the SOKÓŁ Centre of Culture of Lesser Poland.
The idea for the international project “A Synthesis of the Arts” was conceived by Anna Szczepaniak, a graduate of the State Higher Vocational School (since 2022, Academy of Applied Sciences) in Nowy Sącz, Poland and foundress of the ASSM, Ltd. “A Synthesis of the Arts,” because all the disciplines: painting, sculpture, drawing, graphic art and computer graphics, photography, street art, installations and artistic textile, and also music, word, and opera. Among those invited to participate in this project were the faculty members and graduates of the biggest art academies in Poland: the Academies of Fine Arts in Gdańsk, Kraków, Wrocław, and Universities in Poznań and Rzeszów, as well as the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk and the Academy of Art in Szczecin.

The main objective of this undertaking, as Anna Szczepaniak writes, was “to promote high culture, to educate the youth, and to show different forms of art, of communication, and the promotion of a music genre that is an ideal example of the synthesis of the arts (we are talking here about the opera). Opera was created on the basis of combining visual arts, music and acting.”

The first time this project was presented, under its full name of “Ecce Homo Synthesis of the Arts,” was in September 2023 in Gdańsk. Today in the SOKÓŁ Centre of Culture of Lesser Poland. Now it has been given another run as an exhibition opened on 26th of April at the SOKÓŁ Art. Gallery and a concert, about which more information can be found here >>

Among the participants in this exhibition are: Arkadiusz Andrejkow (painting), Rafał Dąbrowski (photography), Amelia De Silva (photography), Danka Jarzyńska (sculpture), Andrzej Naściszewski (photography), Alicja Przybyszowska (photography), Lidia Staszczak (computer graphics, sculpture). The official closing will take place on Friday, 17th of May at 6 p.m..
